Saudi-based data platform Governata has appointed Anas Al Azzeh as Director of Customer and Partner Success, in a move that signals the company’s focus on scaling enterprise delivery as demand for AI-ready data infrastructure accelerates across the Kingdom.

The appointment comes as organizations in Saudi Arabia place greater emphasis on data governance, localization, and regulatory compliance, driven by national frameworks around data sovereignty and digital transformation.

Al Azzeh joins Governata from Informatica, where he worked as an Enterprise Sales Manager and helped expand the company’s footprint across the GCC. He brings experience in deploying enterprise-scale data solutions across complex environments, a capability Governata is now looking to strengthen as it grows.

The company said the role will focus on accelerating enterprise adoption, improving client engagement, and ensuring large-scale implementations deliver measurable outcomes.

Governata has been positioning its platform as an integrated solution covering data governance, privacy, data quality, pipelines, and generative AI enablement, aimed at helping organizations manage and extract value from data at scale.

Chief Executive Djamel Mohand said the appointment comes at a critical stage for the company.
“At this stage of our journey, scaling adoption and delivering measurable impact are key priorities,” he said, adding that Al Azzeh’s regional experience would support the company’s next phase of growth.

Commenting on his new role, Al Azzeh said that demand for “trusted, well-governed, and AI-ready data” is rising rapidly across Saudi Arabia, with organizations increasingly seeking solutions aligned with local regulatory and operational requirements.

Founded in 2025, Governata is building what it describes as a Saudi-born enterprise data platform, aligned with frameworks set by entities such as the National Data Management Office and the Saudi Data and AI Authority. The company is also looking to expand its offering across the wider MENA region as it develops additional AI-driven products.

The latest hire reflects a broader trend across the region, where companies are investing in leadership and delivery capabilities to keep pace with growing demand for data infrastructure tied to AI adoption.
