Peninsula Psychology Dubai marks a new addition to the emirate’s growing mental health landscape, as a modern clinic focused on evidence-based therapy opens in Jumeirah Lake Towers, offering structured support for individuals and couples.
Founded by Rita Figueiredo, the clinic is built around a clear philosophy: delivering transparent, science-led psychological care that is both clinically rigorous and tailored to individual needs. The approach prioritizes long-term outcomes over quick fixes, focusing on addressing underlying emotional and behavioral patterns.
“No person is an island. At most, they’re a peninsula,” the clinic notes, reflecting its core belief in connection and relational mental health.
The facility offers both individual and couples therapy, catering to adults dealing with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, burnout, low mood, grief, relationship challenges, and perinatal mental health. Services are available in person in Dubai and online, allowing for flexible access to care.
The clinic’s model combines established psychological frameworks with a personalized treatment approach, aiming to create meaningful and lasting change rather than short-term symptom relief.

Figueiredo, a CDA-licensed psychologist with over eight years of experience, brings a strong focus on couples and family therapy. She holds a master’s degree in clinical and health psychology from the University of Lisbon and has supported more than 100 couples in Dubai, giving her deep insight into local relationship dynamics.
Peninsula Psychology positions itself as part of a broader shift in the UAE, where demand for professional mental health services is increasing alongside greater awareness and openness around psychological well-being.
Located at HDS Business Center in JLT, the clinic aims to provide a setting where clinical expertise and human connection coexist, offering clients a more grounded and accessible therapy experience.
As mental health continues to gain prominence across the region, the launch reflects a growing emphasis on structured, evidence-based care models that align with international best practices while addressing the needs of a diverse population.
