The much-delayed Coyote Vs Acme has finally unveiled its official trailer, marking a major milestone for the long-awaited Coyote vs. Acme after years of uncertainty.

The film, a live-action and animation hybrid, brings the iconic Looney Tunes character Wile E. Coyote into a courtroom drama, where he sues the fictional Acme Corporation for repeatedly selling him faulty products that sabotaged his endless attempts to catch the Road Runner.

The newly released trailer offers the first full look at this unusual premise, blending classic cartoon chaos with a legal comedy format. It also highlights the film’s mix of live-action performances and animated characters, in a style reminiscent of earlier genre crossovers.

The movie features a notable cast, including Will Forte as the lawyer representing Wile E. Coyote, alongside John Cena as the opposing counsel for Acme. Lana Condor also stars, with several classic Looney Tunes characters making appearances.

The trailer release is particularly significant given the film’s turbulent journey. Originally completed and scheduled for release in 2023, the project was shelved by Warner Bros. as part of cost-cutting measures, triggering backlash from fans and industry figures.

After a prolonged period in limbo, the film was eventually acquired by independent distributor Ketchup Entertainment, paving the way for its theatrical release.

Coyote Vs Acme is now slated to hit cinemas on August 28, 2026, finally bringing one of the most talked-about shelved projects back to the big screen.

The trailer signals a comeback not just for the film but also for the Looney Tunes franchise, which continues to find new ways to connect with audiences across generations.
