A unique multidisciplinary artwork, Algarabía, is set to be showcased in Abu Dhabi in November 2026, following its successful premiere in Spain, and will highlight a powerful cultural dialogue between the Arab world and Europe.

The production, developed by the University of Navarra Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the University of Navarra Museum, Khawla Art and Culture Foundation, and Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation, brings together music, dance, and poetry in a contemporary artistic format.

At its core, Algarabía explores the intersection of cultures, blending flamenco traditions with Arab musical and poetic elements to create an immersive and emotionally resonant experience. The performance reflects shared heritage while offering a modern interpretation of artistic expression.

The narrative follows a symbolic journey between an Arab girl exploring the theory of flowers and a Spanish florist guided by intuition, weaving themes of identity, connection, and human understanding into its storytelling.

Speaking on the significance of the project, Sheikha Khawla bint Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi described the artwork as a powerful example of how the arts can bridge cultures and foster dialogue.

She noted that the collaboration between artistic and academic institutions has resulted in a work that transcends traditional boundaries, combining multiple disciplines into a unified creative vision.

The upcoming Abu Dhabi showcase marks a key milestone in the artwork’s journey, reinforcing the UAE’s growing role as a global hub for cultural exchange and artistic collaboration.

The initiative also aligns with the broader mission of the Khawla Art and Culture Foundation to support creative expression and nurture both regional and international talent, further strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading platform for cultural dialogue.
