Al Dhabi Women’s Ice Hockey Team clinched the title at the Mega Ice Hockey 5 Women’s Tournament after defeating hosts Wheho Elite Hong Kong in the final through a dramatic golden goal victory.
The UAE side delivered an impressive campaign throughout the tournament, overcoming five opponents to secure the Women’s Division A championship in a competition featuring leading ice hockey clubs from across Asia.
Khalid Al Habsi, Team Manager of Al Dhabi, praised the squad’s performance and highlighted tactical discipline, teamwork, and consistency as the key factors behind the title-winning run.
He also acknowledged the ongoing support provided by the Abu Dhabi Winter Games Club, noting that the achievement reflects the rapid progress of women’s ice hockey in the UAE and the country’s growing competitiveness at the continental level.
The victory marks another milestone for UAE women’s sports as the nation continues to strengthen its presence across international sporting competitions.
