The 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards took place on March 8 and 9, with a glittering celebration of Indian cinema. The festivities began on March 8 with the IIFA Digital Awards 2025, followed by the grand main event on Sunday, where several A-listers mesmerized the audience with their stellar performances.

This year’s ceremony included a special tribute to the legendary film Sholay, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit wowed the crowd with their performance, while Kareena Kapoor Khan honored her grandfather, the iconic filmmaker Raj Kapoor, on the occasion of his 100 years in cinema. The star-studded night also recognized the brightest talents in Hindi cinema.

Laapataa Ladies took home the coveted Best Picture award, while Kartik Aaryan won Best Actor for his role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Nitanshi Goel claimed the Best Actress award for her outstanding performance in Laapataa Ladies.
