The UAE Ministry of Defence on Monday confirmed that the country’s air defence systems detected four cruise missiles launched from Iran towards the UAE, successfully intercepting three of them over territorial waters while the fourth fell into the sea.
According to the ministry, the loud sounds reported across different parts of the country were the result of interception operations and not a cause for alarm. Authorities confirmed that no damage or casualties were reported.
The swift response highlights the UAE’s advanced air defence capabilities and its readiness to respond to aerial threats in real time. Defence systems were able to track and neutralise the missiles before they could pose any risk to populated areas or critical infrastructure.
The Ministry reassured the public that the situation remains under control and that all necessary measures are in place to ensure the country’s safety and stability.
The incident also underscores the broader security environment in the Middle East, where preparedness and rapid response continue to play a crucial role in maintaining national security and public confidence.
