OpenAI is reportedly set to play a key role in developing a massive data center in the United Arab Emirates, which could become one of the largest globally, according to Bloomberg News on Friday.
The maker of ChatGPT is expected to be a major anchor tenant at a planned 5-gigawatt data center campus in Abu Dhabi, sources familiar with the matter told the outlet.
While OpenAI’s involvement hasn’t been officially confirmed, a formal announcement may be made soon. This news follows a recent agreement between the UAE and the U.S. to establish the world’s largest AI campus outside America.
