Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), welcomed Jorge Rafael Ruiz, Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to the UAE, at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in sectors including energy, renewable energy, food security, and artificial intelligence, highlighting the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening ties between the two countries.
Ghobash noted that UAE–Guatemala relations continue to grow, supported by the shared commitment of both nations’ leadership to deepening collaboration.
Ambassador Ruiz expressed Guatemala’s eagerness to expand partnerships with the UAE in economic development, investment, tourism, innovation, and renewable energy. He also praised the strengthening parliamentary cooperation and emphasized the value of ongoing dialogue and reciprocal visits to enhance coordination.
