Q Mobility has announced the launch of the paid parking system in the outer areas of Al Shahamah, under the supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

The initiative aims to optimize parking space usage and improve access for residents and visitors to the various facilities across the area.

Al Shahamah has witnessed rapid urban and service growth, with the development of numerous schools, malls, and community facilities. This increased activity has made it a popular destination for residents and visitors, resulting in higher traffic and congestion that has affected smooth access to residential and commercial buildings.

The move highlights the importance of organized traffic and parking management to create a safer, more comfortable, and accessible urban environment. The initiative is part of Q Mobility’s commitment to enhancing road safety and implementing smart, sustainable mobility solutions.

The paid parking system will help regulate traffic flow, improve access to residential and commercial facilities, and provide a safer and more efficient experience for all users.

The new system covers both New and Old Al Shahamah, with a total of 3,704 paid parking spaces, including 40 spaces for People of Determination. Parking payments can be made through digital platforms such as the Darb and TAMM apps, ensuring a seamless experience.

Effective 7th November 2025, the system will charge AED 2 per hour for standard parking spaces across the area.
