Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for a record year-end travel surge, with forecasts indicating that over 10 million passengers will pass through the airport between 27 November and 31 December 2025.
The busy period kicks off with the UAE Eid Al Etihad long weekend, during which daily passenger totals are expected to average over 294,000, before accelerating into December. The month is projected to welcome more than 8.7 million guests, potentially making it DXB’s busiest month ever. The peak day is expected on Saturday, 20 December, with passenger numbers surpassing 303,000.
Travel patterns show outbound journeys dominating in the days leading up to the Eid Al Etihad holiday, as residents take advantage of the long weekend. Mid-December will see a shift, with inbound travel rising sharply, fueled by Dubai’s vibrant festive season calendar.
Dubai Airports continues to collaborate closely with oneDXB partners, including airlines, control authorities, commercial partners, and airport service teams, to ensure seamless journeys and an enhanced passenger experience throughout this high-traffic period.
