The National Ambulance has increased its state of preparedness to ensure uninterrupted ambulance services at the highest levels of quality and efficiency during the Eid Al Etihad holiday, in support of the national emergency and crisis response system.

This move reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to enhancing rapid response capabilities for emergencies, road accidents, and potential injuries commonly associated with public holidays.

In coordination with general police commands and strategic partners, National Ambulance has implemented a proactive plan within an integrated operational framework designed to ensure swift and effective ambulance response. The plan aligns with approved operational procedures for official holidays and national events, ensuring continuous coordination with relevant authorities.

The plan features expanded field coverage through reinforced strategic deployment of ambulance teams, vehicles, and medical equipment. It also includes increased staffing at ambulance communication centres to manage the anticipated rise in emergency calls over the holiday period.

National Ambulance additionally urged the public to comply with traffic safety guidelines and practice cautious driving, especially during peak holiday times.

The public is reminded to call the emergency ambulance hotline 998 without hesitation whenever a medical emergency requiring ambulance support arises.
