A fifth group of Indonesian medical professionals has arrived at the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, Egypt, to support the treatment of Palestinian patients and injured individuals transferred from the Gaza Strip.

The team includes specialists in orthopedics, surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine, and radiology, working alongside Emirati medical staff as part of “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3”.

This cooperation is intended to strengthen the hospital’s ability to manage critical cases and expand the scope of specialised medical services offered to patients.

The involvement of Indonesian medical personnel highlights the strong ties between the UAE and Indonesia and demonstrates their shared dedication to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Since opening on February 23, 2024, the 100-bed facility—also equipped to accommodate 100 patient companions—has provided more than 12,000 medical services. Medical teams have carried out over 5,200 surgeries, delivered 6,500 physiotherapy sessions, and fitted 26 prosthetic limbs for patients evacuated from Gaza.

The hospital is fully equipped with integrated operating theatres, intensive care units, laboratories, and radiology departments.
