Under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, the Ajman Department of Human Resources has launched the ‘Ajman Ramadan with the Family’ initiative, introducing 100 percent remote work on Fridays for government entities during the holy month of Ramadan.

The initiative supports the objectives of the ‘Year of Family’, aiming to improve work-life balance, enhance employees’ quality of life during Ramadan, strengthen family connections, and reinforce social cohesion and solidarity.

This decision underscores H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi’s commitment to providing a flexible working environment that considers the unique nature of Ramadan while promoting employee wellbeing, with a positive impact on productivity and overall institutional performance.

Accordingly, the department issued a circular to government entities in the emirate outlining official working hours: Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 14:30, and Friday from 09:00 to 12:00, with full remote work on Fridays.

The department emphasized that the initiative reflects Ajman Government’s strategy to implement flexible and sustainable work policies that boost performance efficiency, align with global best practices, empower human resources, and maintain a balance between professional and family life.
