H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 407 inmates from the emirate’s correctional and punitive institutions and pledged to settle their financial liabilities ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The release comes as part of Sheikh Saud’s commitment to giving pardoned inmates the opportunity to begin a new chapter in their lives and to help ensure stability for their families.
On this occasion, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, directed the concerned authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures to implement Sheikh Saud’s decision.
The Attorney-General of Ras Al Khaimah, Hasan Saeed Mehaimed, stated that this noble gesture by H.H. Sheikh Saud highlights his dedication to enabling inmates to reintegrate into society and to bringing happiness to their families and loved ones during the holy month.
