The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced its support for the Most Noble Number charity auction, organised by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) at Armani Hotel Dubai on 7th March.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the Edge of Life campaign aimed at rescuing five million children from hunger. The initiative was launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, with the goal of raising at least AED1 billion to support efforts combating childhood hunger worldwide.
The Edge of Life campaign is organised in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger.
RTA has allocated nine special vehicle plate numbers to be auctioned during the Most Noble Number charity event in support of the campaign: DD 6, DD 16, DD 25, DD 30, DD 99, DD 100, DD 999, DD 7000 and DD 22222.
The auction will feature the participation of prominent figures, philanthropists and business leaders who are keen to support humanitarian initiatives and promote a culture of generosity and giving in the UAE.
The Edge of Life campaign operates under MBRGI, the region’s largest foundation dedicated to humanitarian, aid, development and social initiatives. The campaign builds on the momentum of previous Ramadan campaigns launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which have received widespread support from the UAE community.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, affirmed that the campaign reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in establishing the UAE’s sustainable approach to humanitarian action. This approach is rooted in initiative, global responsibility and the commitment to spare no effort or resources in assisting the most vulnerable communities and protecting children from hunger and severe malnutrition that threaten the lives and futures of millions worldwide.
Al Tayer stated, “It is an honour to support this noble humanitarian initiative by dedicating the proceeds of premium plate numbers to the Edge of Life campaign to rescue five million children from hunger, which helps realise its mission of actively combating childhood hunger worldwide. Our support is driven by our commitment to social responsibility and our conviction that national institutions are active partners in the UAE’s humanitarian mission.”
He added that RTA has dedicated nine special plate numbers for this year’s Most Noble Number auction, encouraging the public to participate and contribute to achieving the campaign’s objectives.
Charity auctions have proven to be an effective way to promote a culture of giving and social responsibility. Previous editions of the Most Noble Number auction have attracted significant attention. Last year’s edition, held in support of the Fathers’ Endowment campaign launched during Ramadan 2025, raised AED83.677 million.
