Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence announced late Thursday that the country’s air defence systems successfully intercepted a missile that had entered its airspace.
The Ministry stated that the interception triggered the activation of warning sirens in line with established security protocols. No casualties or damage to infrastructure were reported after the threat was successfully neutralised.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry of Defence spokesperson, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, said that the interception caused some debris to fall, resulting in minor material damage, including damage to a vehicle, but no injuries were reported.
He added that the Kuwaiti armed forces continue to perform their defensive duties with a high level of efficiency and readiness, ensuring the protection of the country and maintaining its security and stability.
