The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has announced the enhancement of eight major customer services, achieving notable reductions in paperwork, processing times, and procedural complexity.

This upgrade, implemented under the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, enables insured members and employers to handle their pension and social security transactions with unprecedented convenience and efficiency.

Hind Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Pensions Sector and Head of the Zero Bureaucracy Team at GPSSA, stated that this transformation supports the Authority’s efforts to redesign and streamline government procedures, making the customer journey quicker, easier, and more effective. She explained that these improvements are in line with the principles of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and the nation’s vision to minimise service requirements and processes, ensuring a seamless experience with minimal effort.

Al Suwaidi further highlighted that digital transformation and smart integration with various government entities have allowed GPSSA to merge similar procedures, exchange data proactively, depend on existing records without repeatedly requesting them, eliminate unnecessary steps, and simplify current requirements—significantly reducing the time needed to complete services.

The upgraded services include the contribution payment procedure, employer registration service, insured individual registration service, civilian insurance benefit disbursement service, beneficiary registration service, military insurance benefit disbursement service, issuance of “to whom it may concern” certificates, and the pension entitlement update service.

GPSSA confirmed that these developments are the result of strong government partnerships and digital transformation efforts through the “Ma’ashi” platform. The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing innovation, ensuring that its services remain smart, proactive, and user-friendly, in line with the evolving needs and expectations of its customers.
