The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has received a donation from the Sultan of the Dawoodi Bohra community to bolster its “Prophet’s Neighbours” endowment project. This initiative focuses on establishing sustainable resources for the care and empowerment of orphans.

The contribution aligns with broader community-giving efforts, emphasizing human solidarity and reflecting the Dawoodi Bohra community’s global commitment to charitable endeavors. It also strengthens collaboration with humanitarian organizations in the UAE, reflecting the nation’s directives to support diverse societal segments and foster future stability.

Mona bin Hadha Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the SSEF, expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting its direct impact on the financial longevity of endowment projects serving orphans and their families. Al Suwaidi stated, “The endowment project ‘Prophet’s Neighbours’ is a practical embodiment of the values of compassion and solidarity advocated by our Noble Prophet… We are proud of this collaboration that translates the spirit of humanitarian dialogue into tangible projects that contribute to building a dignified life for our children deprived of parental care.”

The donated funds will be allocated to specific endowment expenditures, including comprehensive care programs. These encompass education for fatherless students, healthcare services, fulfilling living needs, home maintenance, vocational training, and psychological and social support. The funds will also provide urgent assistance to widows, aiming to enhance the quality of life for beneficiaries, ensure dignified living, and promote equal opportunities for success and social integration.
