It opened its service with a first flight in Oman; the service marked the beginning of the transition between the slow and ground-based transport to faster and more autonomous aerial transport used in industrial settings with high demands.
The oil and gas industry is burdened with unresolved logistical problems associated with remote areas, tough working conditions, safety, and time-sensitive activities. Traditional transport methods are usually slow, expensive, and operationally limited.
The new service of a cargo drone offered by ESBAAR is specifically created to overcome these issues and provide a service of delivering cargo to locations that are hazardous or hard to reach with alternative transport methods.
The official launch marks the transition of traditional ground logistics to autonomous flying transport designed for an industrial purpose. The company states that the solution is designed to support high-risk and remote operations where speed and reliability are essential.
The first flight was carried out in cooperation with MASAR Petroleum and involved locally manufactured unmanned aerial systems designed by SINAN Advanced Industries.
